Our music department is an important and active part of our worship experience. We all enjoy the choir and our organ. Unfortunately after 37 years of dedicated service our much loved organ needs retirement. It is no longer affordable to repair this instrument. A complete rebuild is necessary and that is not financially practical. With much prayer and research we have concluded that replacement is the only viable option. We have selected a new Allen Organ Company “Chancel” model as a replacement. This organ is a two keyboard model and has does offer a few additional features. We are also pleased that the organ is built in the U. S. A. by one of the best organ companies in the world. (The Allen Organ Company has an excellent website at allenorgan.com.)
Loganville First will have the opportunity to hear this marvelous new instrument and savor the thrilling sounds with which will enhance our worship services. Allen Organs has graciously offered to provide the instrument for a demonstration during the weeks of April 10th thru 21st . We believe you will be thrilled by the difference.
Join us as we celebrate with prayer, word, song, and music, for Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter .
The money for the new organ is not in the budget. We are asking the whole congregation for help. Our goal is an attainable and reasonable $35,000. (Just divide this amount by 30 or 35 years to see the value.) You can take part in this endeavor with a contribution of any amount. We have put an Organ Fund Raising poster and gift envelopes on the bulletin board in the fellowship hall. Be sure to note on your check that it is for the “Organ Fund”. Give the envelope to the office or place it in the offering plate.
With a contribution of $250 or more, you can claim one of the keys on the poster as your very own. Simply write your name, class name or person honored on your choice off keys showing your support for this project. In addition you will be receive an “I am an organ donor” tee shirt for each key you purchase.
